The difference between semi formal dresses and prom dresses

July 02, 2009 By: admin Category: Personal diary

Semi formal can be the same dress as your formal but the semi formal is short…street length. It basically has to do with the length.

1) semi formal dresses

The long-preserved and strict rules of wearing only formal dresses seem to be dying out. They are slowly giving way to once “unacceptable” semi-casual dresses. These dresses are no longer taboo on the office premises.

Interestingly, they are being approved by those who hold the high ranks. They don’t seem to raise their eyebrows any longer on this changing trend. This “just in” semi-casual attitude has added many colors and spices to a very formal (read colorless) environment of the offices.

The office goers, around the world, are shedding their full sleeve shirts and formal pants with a distinct enthusiasm. Even, the neckties have become pretty optional ones. The professionals at all places are not reluctant, even slightly, to join this latest bandwagon.

On office days, a polo neck t-shirt coupled with a well-fit pant is a common rage. Many are putting on jeans with stylish striped shirts. The ladies are showing a special liking for straight skirts along with some light colored semi-casual tops.

2)prom dresses

The great thing about prom dress styles is that there are so many styles to choose from. Many of these girls can get inspiration form just about any runway, movie, magazine or celebrity. Even though this is the prom and you will do just about anything to have the most impressive dress at the event, you still need to choose a dress that suits your body type. If you are short, a knee-length prom dress can do you justice while taller slim girls look great in long or short dresses. Luckily, there is an array of popular dresses, so the majority of girls find something more than suitable.

The kameez is a shirt and the seams of the shirt are kept open. The seams are open normally below waist line. This dress gives you great freedom of movement and is also very easy and simple to wear.

The Pakistani culture is very rich as far as clothing is concerned. These clothes are famous not only in Pakistan but also in Afghanistan, India and Bangladesh.
